The naval architecture and engineering activities on the full aluminum motor yacht started in February 2008.
The design base for this new vessel is the current 122 feet Research Vessel delivered in 2003 and features the same design, structural and mechanical features except for some minor changes.
The new vessel offers engineers more space for maintenance and inspection of the various on-board machinery and equipment. The engine room has also been lengthened.
The yacht design integrates full 3D elements and efficient building methods.
Vripack is working in association with French shipyard JFA and this is their third collaborative project on a yacht of the same size.
By early June 2009, the hull and superstructure will be delivered separately and will be joined at the Concarneau yard in France. The yacht will be delivered in 2010.
