The new store spanning 1,55,000 square feet comprises wide aisles with every aisle equipped with directional signage for customers’ convenience. The facility incorporates lower shelving which makes the items easier to view.
The customer service desk, Site-to-Store pick-up location and a photo lab are clubbed in one section near the entryway. The interior of the store sports bright shades.
The facility employs various green measures such as installation of skylights which harvest daylight and save a maximum of 75% of energy per day and energy-efficient LED lighting fixtures. The building also features low-flow water fixtures in bathrooms to slash the rate of water wastage.
Other sustainable features include use of reclaimed cement in its concrete flooring, a special floor finish to phase out the requirement of chemical cleaners, as well as implementation of a recycling programme.
