The new design captures its original architecture including the historic limestone arches. New concrete floors and industrial lighting has been added to give the boutique a lofty feel.
Pilati varnished the walls with a shiny red lacquer inspired by the original packaging of Yves Saint Laurent’s Opium fragrance. This new shade compliments the store’s shopping bags, shoe boxes and other packaging.
Pilati, redesigned the store in conjunction with Paris based architects Alain Moatti and Henri Riviere of Moatti et Riviere.
The new design will be carried out in all the 62 stores of Yves Saint Laurent. Yves Saint Laurent is a luxury fashion house founded by Yves Saint Laurent and his partner, Pierre Berge in 1962.
