The $1.6 million permit application for the renovation involves plans to build out about 40,000 square feet in the middle of the building into new office and warehouse space for NuVasive. Earlier, the area was used for storage.
Luke Newell, division manager at Montgomery Martin, said that the company also would perform some minor renovations to the space where NuVasive already is operating, on the west side of the building.
Work began on January 8, 2010, and is expected to be completed by May 1, 2010. Ricks Kiss Architects is the architect chosen to design the project and CB Richard Ellis Memphis is handling building management. Montgomery Martin Contractorss are the general contractor for this project.
