The project will draw reference to the historic and modern cultural activity of the region while employing sustainable measures. The new facility will offer advanced facilities and will house various cultural events.
The major performance areas of the centre will be represented as dynamic forms and will be mainly informed by their function. The design of these areas will replicate the profile of dhow which is a sailing ship used as the primary export means in Kuwait.
The entire structure will be integrated by a roof canopy bearing resemblance to a lily-pad. Several timber columns will act as the support for the structure leading to the creation of a forest of tree-like structures within the central oasis garden.
