The interior of the facility has been remodelled by Melbourne-based design firm BARStudio. The hotel now sports a new rooftop level housing three rooftop suites. The suites allow views of the Sydney Harbor, the Opera House, and Harbour Bridge. The same floor also comprises the largest suite of the city Sydney Suite. The Sydney suite, spanning 3,767 square feet, features sun lounges, day beds, and eight-capacity outdoor dining space while offering city views.
All the revamped 155 guestrooms of the property imbibe books- and artwork-lined shelves and walls, as well as customised handcrafted porcelain pieces sourced from a local potter. Bulk of the rooms have now been fitted with floor-to-ceiling glass doors, and large private balconies which provide glimpses of the surrounding Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour.
The refurbished property incorporates five meeting rooms including the Guest House positioned on the edge of Sydney Harbour. The Guest House comprises a presentation kitchen, and a private outdoor terrace with a capacity to house a maximum of 70.
The Spa of the hotel too, has undergone an overhaul. It features five treatment rooms, a relaxation room, and a pair of aromatherapy steam rooms following the facelift. The redesigned spa optimises natural light penetration. The look is accentuated with installation of artistic renderings of various renowned Australian artists in every room.
The facade of The Dining Room restaurant of the hotel has been rebuilt and equipped with floor-to-ceiling windows to offer Opera House views. The same can also be viewed from The Bar, and The Living Room dining space of the hotel.
The materials used during the construction of the project has been sourced regionally. The original 1990 foundation has been reconstructed with conventional Sydney sandstone while the boardwalk encompassing the hotel entryway has been rebuilt with spotted gum.
The public spaces and guest rooms of the renovated property have been adorned with sculptures, paintings, and photographs inspired by The Rocks and Harbour. The creations are from different famed Australian artists.
