The terminal expansion project began in August 2008 with Greenhut Construction as the general contractor. The project was financed with airport revenue bonds and federal grants.
With 98% of the project being complete, Greenhut will commence a new $4.2 million phase of improvements on 1 October 2010. This new phase of improvement project, financed out of the airport’s annual operations budget, covers new landscaping, signage, flooring and bathrooms. Greenhut has also completed $18 million expansion of the rental car service area.
