All the rooms of the office feature a unique coffered ceiling made of multiple trim pieces configured in an octagon shape with recessed rope lighting. This trim design used 8” speed base turned upside down, base cap, 5” crown with a 1 3/4” reveal for the rope lighting, and clove mold on the bottom and on the ceiling inside the octagon. The design is topped with the base cap octagon medallions. The trim pieces were painted in black colour with the ceiling in red to continue the Georgia Bulldog theme.
A notable element of the design is a 5’x3’ University of Georgia logo which is installed into pre-existing red oak hardwood floors. It is composed of all select, exotic woods with white boards made of hard maple, black boards made of African wenge, and the red boards made of blood wood.
A French knot border surrounds the Georgia logo coloured in red blood wood and the black wenge. After installation, the hardwood floors were sanded and sealed with three coats of polyurethane to intensify the colours. The hardwood logo can be removed and replaced with pre-existing hardwood boards.
