Around a central theme of exploration, Antron® carpet fibre reveals a new-found confidence in colour as we approach the latest discoveries shaping our future.

The first of four themes presented in Global Trends 2017/18, Aquatic Voyage explores the unknown capacity of our oceans, discovering strange and surreal material combinations. Inspired by deep sea creatures and glossy and watery effects, surface treatments include gradient effects and materials combine silk-like liquids and fibrous forms, while the colour palette reveals oceanic blues and greens combined with dark depths and luminescent accent tones.

The next theme continues our journey of discovery, Infinite Shadow taking a look beneath the excess, placing emphasis on core form and structure. Multiple opacities and layers reference microscopic imagery and lead to a clean and scientific aesthetic. Light and shadow are key to creating this barely-there feel with a colour palette of cool neutrals paired with intense contrasts and anonymous combinations.

"The first two themes from Global Trends 2017/18 demonstrate our willingness to celebrate new discoveries and to enjoy the process of exploration, finding beauty in the smallest detail," explains Jo Lea Keppler, marketing communications manager, Antron® carpet fibre. "With palettes that display our new-found confidence, Aquatic Voyage and Infinite Shadow provide interiors with a bright and energetic colour outlook."
