A total of 100 suppliers will showcase their new innovative products and services including the latest in surface solutions, lighting technology and fixtures and fittings. Highlights of this initial round are:
Danish high-performance concrete manufacturer Hi-Con A/S will reveal their newly developed balcony connectors for the first time in the UK. This thinly-cast system has very few fixing points, enabling balconies to be mounted in places where it would usually not have been possible.
Aurubis, from Finland, have been manufacturing Nordic copper and copper alloys used to clad roofs and facades for over 20 years. Aurubis has chosen to launch their pre-weathered and pre-patinated copper and copper alloys to the UK market at ARCHITECT@WORK. Newer to the scene and founded in Bremen, Germany, Decorus Tubes create unique designer metal tubes of carbon steel, stainless steel and non-ferrous metals.
The stunning collection of fine marble inlay from Budri will be punctuated by their new product designed by Patricia Urquiola, The Papiro Collection which illustrates the evolution of marble processing and is available in five patterns.
Manufactured in the Netherlands, EeStairs produce staircases in a wide range of materials including the new, highly versatile, Cells balustrade system which features attractive organic shapes and is available in any RAL colour.
Blackbody produces beautiful OLED’s (organic light-emitting diodes) and has revolutionised the way light is experienced. Using nanotechnology OLEDs are bright super-flat surfaces that don’t conduct heat and can be viewed without a shade. Whereas Bover, based in Barcelona, produces lighting solutions with a distinctively Mediterranean feel – for both outdoor and indoor uses. Their collections utilise a wide range of materials from wood fragments and polished aluminium to polyethylene and rubber.
Other show features include an exhibition by the SCIN Gallery and an impressive talks programme focusing on the show’s theme of water.
