Developer Bildurn Properties was looking to create a contemporary and eyecatching environment and consulted with John Butler Contracts to recommend a durable yet aesthetically pleasing range of floorcoverings.
90m2 of Heckmondwike Array Fibre Bonded carpet tiles was chosen in attractive Lime, which was complemented by 15m2 of Broadrib in Willow.
Array is the latest addition to Heckmondwike FB’s creative flooring range and is proving popular for both commercial and education environments. On this project, a stunning effect has been achieved by use of the Array tile with its striking lime green surface pattern throughout. This perfectly complements the Broadrib in Willow which was provided in contrasting stripes throughout the ground floor area.
Claire Menzies from Bildurn Properties said: “We really wanted to create a modern, high tech feel to the floor covering, as we are looking to attract IT and technology-based businesses to the centre. Heckmondwike had the most vibrant range of colours and we knew of the durability of their tiles as we have used them on other projects. We are really pleased with the result which has helped us to create a fresh, dynamic and appealing working environment for aspiring entrepreneurs.”
John Butler from John Butler Contracts who installed the carpet tiles, said: “We worked closely with Bildurn Properties to come up with an eyecatching concept for their flooring that would create a contemporary, high tech feel to this innovative workspace. The striking Array and complementary Broadrib tile work really well together and their durability and performance mean it will offer them very low maintenance, as well as many years of service.”
Heckmondwike FB’s Array and Broadrib carpet tiles are British-made and provide long term durability and performance. They offer excellent value for money and are supplied with a 10-year limited wear warranty and that means that they can be specified in complete confidence.
Abby Chandler, Marketing Manager for Heckmondwike FB, said: “Our new Array tiles are providing a very popular choice in conjunction with our Broadrib tile for a wide range of flooring environments. Our Broadrib tile is available in an extensive range of colour options and the new Array tiles have increased their popularity by adding a new dimension in creating vibrant, appealing environments.”
Both are anti-slip tiles, which will not ravel or fray and their strong thermal properties mean they effectively conserve heat. Both Broadrib and Array offer acoustic properties that reduce noise pollution, which makes them ideal for multi-occupancy buildings. Both ranges are popular with contractors as they can be cut on site without risk of fraying, which allows individual flooring designs to be created and installed with ease.
The Array tiles feature a mid-width rib design, with a charcoal background enhanced with a subtle linear pattern in either Red, Blue, Purple, Lime, Magenta or Black.
Broadrib has a wider rib structure than some other Fibre Bonded carpet products, creating a defined contrast in its texture. Available in 24 colour options, Broadrib is widely specified in public buildings, libraries, retail outlets and in the commercial sector.
Heckmondwike FB carpets and carpet tiles are available with full technical support, as part of the service. All fibre bonded products are manufactured by Heckmondwike FB at its base in West Yorkshire, where the company is fully certified to ISO 14001, as part of its commitment to sustainability.
