The company pushes the boundaries of what can be achieved in bathroom product design, and it was this focus on innovation that led to Bette being invited to exhibit at Design Fields, which will showcase leading product design from around the world.
Bette will be using the exhibition to show how the bathroom can be taken into a new direction with the UK launch of contrasting new collections.
Alex Howard of Clerkenwell Design Week comments: "We are excited to wel-come Bette to our showcase of the best international design brands in Design Fields. Their inclusion is testament to a commitment to innovation and boundary pushing design."
UK launch of upholstered bath and washbasin: BetteLux Oval Couture
Clerkenwell Design Week will see the UK launch of Bette’s most innovative collection to date: a free-standing bath and floor-standing washbasin in glazed titanium steel, which have been upholstered in a comfortable, yet highly durable fabric.
The design concept of an upholstered bath was presented at last year’s Salone del Mobile, and such was the reaction and requests to order, that Bette, with designer Dominic Tesseraux, has developed the concept into an original and functional collection of bath and basin in four colour options.
The BetteLux Oval Couture combines glazed steel and homely fabric to bring sensuousness and comfort to the bathroom, in a way that has never been seen before. The baths are upholstered in a woven, functional fabric by German specialist JAB Anstoetz. The soft-to-the-touch, easy-care fabric is more usually used in high quality outdoor furniture, and is resistant to water, mould and damp climates.
Striking Geometric Statement with BetteLoft Ornament
CDW will also be the first UK exhibition opportunity to see the BetteLoft Orna-ment bath, which will be available from August.
The BetteLoft Ornament is a large free-standing bath that creates an optical high-light in the bathroom. While the interior is comfortable and pared-back, the ex-pressive exterior emphasises the symmetry of the bath with statement embossing.
A wall-hung washbasin with the exterior in the same geometric pattern, is also available in two sizes and pattern options.
Bette will be showing other innovative bathroom products on the stand, including the multi-award-winning BetteLux Shape range and permanently water-proof flush-to-floor shower floor, BetteFloor.
Colour, Bespoke and Solutions
Bette products are available in a huge range of colours and sizes, as well as be-spoke sizes, and its innovative designs are combined with practical solutions that elevate the bathroom. The company’s development labs have been responsible for solutions including ‘no silicone’ options and advances in sound insulation.
Sustainability
Bette’s baths, shower floors and washbasins are created from natural materials and finished with its highly durable BetteGlaze. Sustainability is central to Bette’s approach, and the company has been awarded an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) which complies with ISO 14025 and EN15804
