First launched in 1953, the iF Design Award is one of the largest design contests in the world with 6,400 entries submitted from 54 countries. This revered design prize represents a seal of excellence, a testimony of quality and trust, and a challenge to the competition. Commanding respect from designers, manufacturers and users around the world, the Award signals outstanding design.

Trinetic won over the 63-member jury – made up of independent experts from all over the world – with its revolutionary design that is already changing the face of the task chair market. In development for three years, Trinetic represents the largest investment ever made in a single product by the UK furniture industry. Its ingenious design means no manual user adjustments are needed. Instead, a combination of three independent pivots actively and intuitively support the thousands of micro-movements made by users across every hour of every day; making this product truly unique. Suitable for eight-hour use and proven to offer unrivalled comfort and support, this fully certified office chair provides tangible circulatory and musculoskeletal benefits.

Commenting on this latest accolade, Brian Murray, Founder and Chairman at Boss Design said: “We are honoured to receive the esteemed iF Award for Trinetic. It is a tremendous accomplishment and a proud moment for all involved in its epic development. Trinetic is setting the benchmark for the next generation of office seating and goes beyond meeting the demands of the modern workplace by providing tangible ergonomic and commercial benefits too.”

Brian adds: “Thanks to its pioneering design, the market now has a truly unique and multifunctional product that can be specified as a task, touchdown or meeting chair.”

This latest award joins Trinetic’s growing trophy collection; having already scooped Europe’s ‘Red Dot – Best of the Best’Product Design Award 2017 and the much coveted Product of the Year accolade awarded at the FX International Interior Design Awards 2016.
