Using comfortable breakout seating and attractive upholstery to create an inviting workspace, Cass Business School wanted to be the pioneers of collaborative working to illustrate the benefits of utilising their office space. To help them achieve this, Boss Design products were chosen to furnish their work space.
Soft seating was specified in the lounge areas including Boss Design’s Swing, Cega, Kruze Lounge and Dick chairs. Upholstered in a selection of vibrant colours coupled with their individual eye-catching designs the chairs create a striking yet comfortable lounge space.
For a more intimate setting the Arthur sofa by Lyndon Design was incorporated into the lounge space. Its high back and horizontal panelling together provide privacy and enhanced acoustic qualities, creating the ideal informal meeting or working space. Boss Design’s Tokyo chairs were selected for the boardroom, chosen to create an elegant and sophisticated impact.Tokyo’s smooth, organic curves, fine seam patterned upholstery and striking sleek chrome arms fit perfectly in any boardroom, contemporary meeting or executive office.
Global design firm, NBBJ’s London studio headed the project. Colin Mulholland, lead interior designer for NBBJ said, "The brief from the client was to create a ‘corporate’ environment familiar to working executives which correspondingly supports academic activity. The Boss range of seating met these requirements particularly within the lounge where the soft seating enabled us to design flexible, yet intimate settings that combined visual interest and comfort".
