The project consisted of a 3 floor re-design, spanning a total of 17,000 sq ft. Red Frog Design (RFD) – the commercial interior designers, put together a detailed design brief with the aim of creating an open plan ground floor to be used as a reception area and a staff café with the addition of tailored meeting and training rooms. The upper two floors of the building were allocated to dedicated office spaces and quiet break-out rooms.
The refurbishment was an exciting opportunity for Boss Design Group to provide innovative products from our full range including meeting chairs and tables, break-out, upholstery and cafeteria style seating to suit the client’s exact needs. Products were selected from both the Boss and Komac collections.
Collaborative work spaces and breakout areas were created using Page and Chill chairs from the Komac range, while a Raft configuration allowed for a custom made seating plan to suit the requirements for the training rooms – which needed to allow for multiple staff members to gather around the television screen. As the boardroom required a choice of chair that would be both comfortable to sit on throughout long meetings, as well as complimenting the modern and stylish appearance created by RFD, Pro chairs were supplied due to their simplistic style and assured level of comfort.
Finally, one of the most important decisions rested on the Task chair that would need to seat over 100 office based employees. The Q Task chair was specified after working from a short list across the Boss and Komac collections. The Q chair combines comfort, aesthetic styling and functionality, allowing it to perfectly sit alongside the final styling at the new headquarters. The height adjustable mesh also provides a flexible and breathable back surface and allows the user to adjust the chair to suit their most comfortable working position.
