Crestron is dedicated to working alongside interior designers and architects during the design stage to ensure the smooth integration of the latest smart home technology with interior designs. Petra van Meeuwen, EMEA PR Manager for Crestron explains: "Over the years we have worked with a number of top interior designers and we have a good understanding of the support and back-up the industry requires from a technology partner. We have also worked with Louise Bradley who has created the stunning scheme for our London Showroom at Chelsea Harbour.
Crestron has worked alongside industry experts to provide guest speakers during FOCUS 14 on the topic of incorporating technology. Susie Rumbold, Creative Director of Tessuto and BIID CPD Director will be attending the session on Monday 22 September, discussing how early engagement between design, technology and creative thinking are key to successful projects featuring home automation. On Tuesday, Alistair Ingram, Director of award winning integrator ClearSphere, will be talking about the importance of winning partnerships, achieving results and the difference it can make to your projects. For the session on Wednesday, Journalist and Design Industry Commentator, Kate Burnett, will conclude the talks with her insight into the concept of Design Meets Technology; what it means to consumers, end-users and the media.
Crestron will be running its hugely popular BIID accredited residential CPD course, Integrating Technology into Residential Design, throughout the week, helping those in the industry to enter into the world of smart home technology within interior design. Being trained in integrated technology will help interior designers to see for themselves how lifestyle electronics can transform a home, the considerations that need to be made when working with a smart home and the latest industry trends.
The 45 minute course has been developed to answer demand from the interior design community to incorporate technology without sacrificing design in residential projects. The courses highlight what can be achieved with the latest in lifestyle electronics and how to successfully integrate technology hardware into design schemes. The course covers everything from the latest home technology trends and what is possible, to discussions on the legislation that automation technology can help designers meet, earning participant 2 BIID CPD points.
The showroom provides a platform for visitors to experience how technology and interior design work together seamlessly. The emphasis is on style and the creation of a warm, welcoming and beautiful space, which allows clients to not only enjoy and experience the full range of Crestron products, but to also appreciate how design meets technology to enhance the user experience and complement any interior.
