We have been working directly with the Italian manufacturers of this porcelain to bring five different wood effect tiles to the UK market, with a strong belief that the unique design will establish the range as one of the most on-trend pieces of design for 2015.
Unique design features
The below Vintage Oak is characterised by its use of gentle taupe undertones, heavy knot and grain detailing and a riven surface offering a lighter, delicate design.
Our Reclaimed Oak has striking grey, anthracite, charcoal and mocha tones alongside faded patches of dove grey. The melee of dramatic tones contribute to a floor that looks as if it has been reclaimed, heighten by the occasional speck of oxidized orange, to give an idea of weathered nails.
The popularity of this product stems from its truly unique design. The full range is identical to wood but has all the benefits of a manmade floor. With standard wooden flooring cleaning is always a problem, however the porcelain can be steam cleaned, mopped, and you do not need to shy away from standard cleaning products.
Normal wooden flooring is also a problem for underfloor heating. The irony customers come against is wanting a wooden, Scandinavian style floor alongside a minimalist look (no radiators), to achieve this the only option is underfloor heating which is not suitable with most wooden flooring. Our porcelain is great for heating, meaning that people can fully commit to Nordic chic.
Expert advice
Making sure that Floors of Stone stays ahead of the game within the design genre has always been important to the Floors of Stone managing director Kathryn Collins. "When the opportunity came along to work directly with the Italian designers of this range it was an opportunity I could not afford to pass up. Many different fads within the world of design are brought to my attention and it is not often that I am able to invest in the ideas. With this range I knew I had to develop it into a new collection for us."
Floors of Stone has been trading since 2008, in these past seven years Floors Of Stone has grown to become one of the largest and most successful suppliers of both wall and floor tiles within the UK.
