Operations Manager Jim Collins was appointed in the summer and is responsible for all aspects of production, technical, purchasing and warehousing. This new role has been introduced to ensure a more efficient production process and a more integrated approach to planning work.
Jim commented: "My first priority has been to develop new ways of working in our Lichfield-based factory which means we can now accept orders until later in the day, for next day delivery. I will also be looking at the automatics side of the business and how we can carry out more preparation in the factory and so send out a more complete operator, which will cut down installation time on site, making the job easier and quicker."
He continued: "As the company has grown, the factory has taken on a range of work, including supply only, supply and fix and product servicing. My aim is for us to manage these different processes more efficiently and get better at planning the peaks and troughs in demand."
Managing Director Kaz Spiewakowski commented: "Jim brings extensive operational experience from other industries and he is already making a significant difference to GEZE customers."
