Products were required for a large meeting room that could be re-configured to suit a variety of uses; a formal boardroom, and a large lounge area for customers to relax in or have impromptu meetings. The layout for the meeting rooms had already been planned between Core and Hermes, with design company So Vibrant being introduced to help implement the brand’s concept through the selected colour schemes, fabric choices and finishes on the seating and tables.

Core introduced the Boss Design Deploy table into the larger meeting room. This location had the facility to be separated with a folding wall, allowing it to be used as two smaller rooms if required. The Deploy tabling system with castors and a fixed white MFC top allowed for flexibility in this space as well as easy re-configuration. The tables were specified with power and data to further enhance their purpose. In addition, Vite cantilever arm chairs were specified around the Deploy tables providing high quality meeting rooms, ready to suit a multitude of events.

The intent of the boardroom was to provide a sleek and stylish area for formal meetings. The table in this room was not intended to be relocated; therefore the Apollo boardroom table with a walnut finish and aluminium frame was specified to make a grand statement. This included powder, data and audio-visual connections to provide top of the range facilities. Careful attention was paid to cable management to ensure that the room still remained elegant. Pro cantilever chairs with chrome frames and leather seats complimented the table and completed the aesthetics of the room.

The breakout area was designed by So Vibrant around the theme of an airport lounge. The intent of the design was for the arrivals and departures to reflect the passage of parcels through the distribution centre. The pieces in this area, needed to be comfortable for those waiting, yet with considered ergonomics to ensure that individuals wishing to work during their wait could do so with ease. Hermes also wanted the space to allow for informal meetings, with furniture that could be moved if necessary. Sleek Layla sofas with complimenting Layla glass topped coffee tables created visually stunning break out spaces. The iconic Kruze Lounge chair was interspersed throughout the room, providing a comfortable meeting style chair that could be easily moved or turned. Both the Kruze and Layla pieces were fully upholstered in varying tones of grey that provided a striking effect against the blue walls and flooring.
