The popular Show Home section focuses on transforming the home into a futuristic and innovative living space. Featured Duravit collections include; the Nordic purism and timeless elegance of Luv, ME by Starck, created by celebrated designer Philippe Starck, DuraSquare, the new series with a striking rectangular precision and Vero Air – timeless geometry reinterpreted for the bathroom.
Featured within the Innovation Home at The Ideal Home 2018 is the Nordic inspired Luv collection designed by Cecilie Manz, exclusively for Duravit.
The Innovation Home
The Innovation Home is designed by one of the industry’s top interior stylists, Sophie Robinson, who has successfully re-imagined a typical Victorian city home and transformed it into a perfect contemporary space. Featured in the family bathroom is the minimalist DuraSquare metal console in modern matt black with Cubic Line patterned glass shelf, and co-ordinating washbasin made from the innovative material DuraCeram®. The ensuite space includes a Nordic inspired Luv washbasin, also made from DuraCeram®, and an elegant Luv stand, featuring a Quartz stone console and floor-standing vanity unit in Night Blue, with satin matt finish.
In the Innovation Home visitors can also marvel at designs by Philippe Starck for Duravit including the Starck bathtub and ME by Starck wall hung toilet. Duravit’s first square rimless toilet from the new Vero Air series is also on display and demonstrates the very best in design, intelligent use of technology and the highest manufacture for the home.
The Liv-in Beach Hut
The Liv-in Beach Hut is a collaboration between Hudson Architects and MFA Property who have developed a new ‘sleep-over’ beach hut to provide year round accommodation as well as creating a unique visitor attraction. Collections such as the popular DuraSquare series and DuraStyle by Matteo Thun are showcased in the Scandinavian-inspired beach hut as well as the new Duravit C.1 tap and shower fittings which harmonise perfectly with all contemporary, bathroom ranges by Duravit.
