Located on West Burn Lane, within the historic Old Town conservation area, the Eastacre project includes two and three bedroom apartments, duplexes and a showcase penthouse. During judging, the RIAS panel looked for projects that showed "innovation and design excellence, irrespective of size or type", as well as detailing, accessibility, environmental issues and technical skill. Throughout the properties, Kährs Oak Brighton was used to create a seamless, rustic design feature across a range of surfaces, including the hallways, living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms and adjacent walls. The total installation spanned over 1,000m2.
Kährs Oak Brighton is a one-strip wood floor from the Sand Collection. Crafted in Sweden from sustainable European Oak, the rustic design has a lively grain and is enhanced with a durable white matt lacquer prefinish.
