London, 24th November 2015. Levantina, the leading company in the Natural Stone and ceramics sector, is once again taking part in the Sleep Event in order to present the new TECHLAM® designs, its large-format porcelain product.

TECHLAM®, the latest generation porcelain, stands out because of its size, up to 1000 x 3000 mm, and by being only 3 mm thick. These unusual qualities make it the perfect product when refurbishing hotels as it can be installed directly on the old surface, so minimising costs and optimising the project time scale.

For this year’s Sleep Event Levantina is collaborating with the furniture company, Colección Alexandra, to create a suite of rooms. TECHLAM® is used on floors and walls together with carefully selected furniture and decorative elements to give a feeling of warmth.

The bedroom is the centrepiece of this exceptional suite, where the Alexandra Master Collection shines out with its minimalist lines and its use of high quality materials such as the wood and the leather used in the furniture. The main wall of the bedroom is covered with the natural elegance of TECHLAM® Graphite Stone, a design which is part of the recently launched Stone Collection. Graphite Stone is characterised by its shades of grey and a subtle veining which makes it work well with other colours and textures. The flooring in this space is made of Strattos, a porcelain which has an industrial feel and a cement-like surface. It can also be seen here with a bush-hammered finish which gives it an unusual feel, making it even more resistant to stains and giving this surface anti-slip properties which are very much in demand in the hotel sector and in areas with high levels of traffic.

The bathroom in the suite masterfully combines the textures and colours of TECHLAM®, creating a highly original, cutting-edge space. Kalos Bianco, inspired by Italian white marble, is part of the collection of warm porcelain woods, and goes well with the neutral tones of Hydra Plomo on the floor. Valentina, the standout element in Colección Alexandra’s exhibit, is a piece of handmade bathroom furniture which resembles tanned hide with metal appliques. It has a TECHLAM® vanity top which is ideal for everyday use in the bathroom thanks to its high level of resistance and its non-porous surface.

Levantina’s participation in the event reaffirms its leading position in the hotel sector. NH Hotels, Melia Hotels, Hilton, Accord and Sheraton are just some of the companies which have placed their trust in TECHLAM® as a porcelain surface for their hotels.
