Earlier this year the centre decided that they needed to improve their existing facilities and have an all weather synthetic surface installed for a variety of different sporting and leisure activities. Playrite’s South West sales manager Sean Colbert worked together with Colin Lloyd from Outdoor Carpets to suggest Matchplay 2 as the ideal all-rounder surface for the centre.

The centre had previously had a carpet surface installed around 10 years ago but Outdoor Carpets needed to carry out some remedial groundworks as the original base had moved and caused the previous surface to hold water. To simplify the operation, the current carpet surface was re-utilised and became an underlay.

Once this was complete the top surface was installed with different colours introduced around the high rope areas in the grounds.

Tracy Joslyn, centre manager at Adventure International was actively involved throughout the project and explained how:

“The Matchplay 2 surface is absolutely brilliant and provides a safe, all weather surface for the children. The choice of colour complements the different areas wonderfully and we are most thankful to both Playrite and Outdoor Carpets.”
