Information Age is the largest and most interactive gallery at the Science Museum to date. Divided into six zones, the gallery displays innovations and equipment showing how the world has used communication and information over the last 200 years, from the very first cable taken across the sea to America in 1866 to the present day satellites, microchips and mobile devices.
To meet the criteria set by the client, 2,800 SQM of noraplan uni 3mm thickness rubber flooring from nora systems was chosen for its extreme durability and resilience in high traffic areas. Guaranteed colour consistency, to ensure a uniform colour throughout, and softness under foot with noise reduction properties also contributed greatly to this large open space with high ceilings.
Installed using the nora system blue levelling compounds and adhesive products, this floor provides excellent environmental credentials, meeting Blue Angel standard.
