Doug Norris, area sales manager at Heckmondwike FB: When deciding to refurbish the schools reception and entrance areas, the school turned to Heckmondwike FB to specify the best solution. Together, we chose the Montage Claret broadloom carpet as it combined a design and colour which fitted well with the schools identity as well as providing long-lasting, durable performance. Hippo, from Heckmondwike FBs entrance area collection, was also installed for a robust and heavy duty finish.
Montage breaks new ground in rib on rib design to create a unique, random textured design surface structure usually only associated with its tufted counterparts. The carpets two layer construction brings noise reduction benefits and excellent functionality, particularly important in the education sector, where durable, yet aesthetically appealing flooring is demanded.
During the refurbishment, Hippo, a heavy contract broadloom carpet, from Heckmondwike FB, has also been laid throughout the entrance area of the school to ensure the carpets life in the main reception area is maximised. Hippo is ideal as an interceptor to clean shoes and ensure muck and grime is not carried inside buildings. The contemporary Slate colourway was chosen to complement the Montage Claret.
Montages recent installation follows a number of successful applications of the collection in the education sector. This includes the rolling out of more than 14,000m2 of Montage in its most popular colourway Indigo throughout the London boroughs of Ealing and Enfield last year.
Heckmondwike FB has a wide ranging portfolio of carpets and carpet tiles for use in the education industry from classrooms, corridors and entrances in schools to colleges, universities and other establishments. These collections offer several features including noise reduction, the ability to meet flammability tests, as well as anti-static and anti-slip properties.
