CP Hart warehouse space

In transforming the quintessential London industrial space – dusty railway arches – into the destination showroom for luxury bathrooms, they also led the transformation in the way bathrooms were sold. It was in this showroom that designers such as Philippe Starck and Antonio Citterio launched their first bathroom collections, and product innovations such as the wall-mounted toilet and the dual flush were introduced to the UK.

At the end of 2015, the biggest redevelopment since C.P. Hart first moved in will be completed. Nearly 7,000 sq ft is being added to create a shared working space for clients, which equates to an expansion of around 50%. Visitors will be able to discover the latest products, prototypes and trends in an exhibition gallery. A brand new materials and samples library allows customers to specify colour and finish. Digital technology offers access to C.P. Hart’s entire portfolio to assemble moodboards and work collaboratively.

Waterloo will also be a place to relax. A coffee bar displaying a remarkable bespoke lighting feature will serve complimentary refreshments all day, and provide a comfortable environment to meet and work.

The project was led by architectural practice, Morrow + Lorraine, along with C.P. Hart’s Merchandising Director, Rachel Martin. In the short film C.P. Hart Waterloo Showroom Expansion, the aims and unique challenges of this redevelopment are highlighted.

The showroom will be officially relaunched on the evening of Thursday 26th November, when special guests Edward Barber OBE and Jay Osgerby OBE will open the showroom and participate in a Q&A. All DesignCurial subscribers are invited.
