Located on the fourth floor of Harrods, Somewhere Restaurant marks the brand’s first UK venture – a vibrant dining destination layered with colour, charm, and a confident design personality. Inside Out Contracts was invited to contribute a selection of bespoke and made-to-order furniture for both the interior and exterior spaces.

Their most distinctive piece? The bespoke tub chair, designed exclusively for this unique setting, bringing character, comfort, and a sense of fun to the interior. Upholstered in CRIB5-rated fabrics, the chairs showcase rich, contrasting combinations of green and orange – including Enchant Cactus and Luxe Performance Velvet Cinnamon on the inner seat and back, paired with Cabaret Spruce or Paprika on the outer back.

“When designing the bespoke tub chair for Somewhere Restaurant, we wanted it to stand out as a statement piece while still feeling harmonious in the space. Green brought a sense of calm and connection to nature, while orange introduced warmth, vibrancy, and that lively edge you want in a social dining setting. Together, they capture the restaurant’s playful yet luxurious personality.”

Adding a signature flourish is the bullion fringe skirt that wraps the beechwood base – a detail that introduces a nostalgic, almost theatrical touch of vintage glamour, reimagined for a modern setting. With CMHR foam interiors and integrated floor savers, the chairs balance form and function, meeting the demands of a busy hospitality environment. As seen on the Inside Out Contracts website, the bespoke tub chair is featured as the Velmello Lounge Chair.

Inside Out Contracts also supplied bespoke patchwork cushions and selected outdoor furniture pieces to complement the interior scheme and extend the design narrative onto the terrace, which has stunning views.

The project highlights how thoughtful details and colour choices for the furniture can support – and transform – a wider creative vision. For Inside Out Contracts, it’s a showcase of their ability to collaborate closely with clients, respond to complex briefs, and deliver commercially robust pieces that contribute to the identity and experience of a standout hospitality space.
