Working directly with BW and architects KKS, Style was specified to deliver a partitioning wall solution that would enable their main meeting area to be quickly divided into two separate rooms, as required. Acoustics, ease of use, sustainability and a sense of panache to complement the stunning interior design of their offices were paramount and the final solution didn’t disappoint. The DORMA Variflex moveable partition, for which Style is the sole UK distributor, is a superb semi-automatic operable wall system with 55dB Rw acoustics, giving very high levels of privacy either side of the wall when in place. It also has panels that are manufactured separate to the frame. This means they are interchangeable and can be easily swapped if the design of the room changes, or if a panel is accidently scuffed or damaged. At the prestigious BW offices, a stunning grey and white fabric finish was added creating a breath-taking look.
More than meeting BW’s commitment to sustainability, the Variflex system carries an environmental product declaration (EPD) in accordance with ISO 14025 and EN 15804. This EPD communicates the environmental performance of a product, with a life cycle analysis (LCA) having been carried out in accordance with ISO 14040.
