Tile of Spain presents two key new looks by leading Spanish manufacturers, as seen at the recent Cersaie trade fair in Italy: Random, improvised geometric compositions are taking over the tile scene and humble old school formats, such as classic square and subway tiles, are making a big comeback with an unexpected twist.

BREAKING THE PATTERN

Pattern has been liberated. Random, improvised geometric compositions are taking over the tile scene – from ‘scattered’ zigzags to over-sized ‘pixels’ and ‘broken’ kaleidoscopic images. Versatile tile formats from innovative Spanish manufacturers in a variety of colours, finishes and effects offer an enhanced design palette that enables a playful freedom with pattern. This new way of designing with tiles allows for the effortless creation and application of unique wall and floor installations, adding both high impact – and that personal touch. Timeless earthy colours and striking monochromes make these accent surfaces a stylish backdrop for all manner of interior and exterior settings.
