The multi-use games area (MUGA) was divided into two separate multi-use playing areas. The first area was a traditional green, artificial grass sports pitch, marked out for 2 netball courts. The second area was surfaced in a terracotta synthetic grass and marked out with a sprint track and Kwik Cricket pitch.
Both pitches used Playrite’s Matchplay 2, unique needlepunch surface but the areas were tailored for the specific needs in differing colours and in-laid lines to denote the different uses of the pitches.
Matchplay 2 is an ideal choice for multi use games areas, especially in educational settings and can offer high performance and durability in a range of sports, particularly netball and tennis. The built in cushion layer makes for medium-paced play and is easy on player’s leg joints.
