Unsure if it was even possible, they were delighted to discover that Spectral had the expertise to design and manufacture a bespoke solution which was able to negotiate a whole host of challenges that came with installing a fixture this large and heavy.

Guinness World Records

The world’s largest pendant light fitting.
Our custom designed Stora-LK has broken the world record for the largest hanging lamp as measured on 22nd March 2017. With 15,000 LED’s on a total of 200 LED printed circuit boards, this system is truly impressive.

  

Large Factory

Luckily we have a large factory.
Weighing in at 2 tons, this enormous fitting dwarfed the engineers in our factory. The Spectral team fully assembled the luminaire in order to test it structurally – before dismantling it for transport.

Never Easy

Getting into a bank is never easy.
This massive light fixture was designed to be constructed on site. By using a locating tool, specially manufactured for this project, 30 frame sections were expertly aligned and bolted together with precision.

  

Inside Job

With a 12.1m diameter, it had to be an inside job.
Installation was a tall order, using a scaffolding tower 11m off the ground. Once removed, it was clear something remarkable had been achieved as the giant pendant hung on 12mm thick suspension wires.
