PVC corner beads are designed for use on all rendered and plastered corners and reveals to provide a straight edge and protect against impact. Angle beads can also be used for internal plastering applications.
PVC Angle beads are fast and easy to cut to length with either tin snips or a fine toothed hacksaw and are safer to handle than cut metal. PVC fixing is no different than with steel beads and usual standard industry practice can be followed.
Renderplas plastic corner beads provide a value for money alternative to stainless steel beads due to the fact that they are made from cost-effective recycled exterior grade, impact resistant, UV stable PVC, making them guaranteed not to stain or corrode like galvanized steel beads do, reducing spalling and impact damage. Plastic angle beads are designed to outlast their metal counterparts, as plastic beads are guaranteed to be fit for purpose for the lifetime of the render and at least 25 years.
Renderplas PVC beads match the stipulations of British and European standard for the design requirements of metal beads and lath (BS EN 13658-2:2005), they are BBA certified, Class 1Y fire rated, and unaffected by weather. The British and European Standard for the design and application of external render (BS EN 13914-1:2016) stipulates that only PVC beads and stainless steel beads can be used in all applications including situations of high atmospheric or background moisture and high atmospheric or background salt.
All Renderplas Corner/ Angle beads give a perfect finish to through colour render and are available in a variety of colours dependent on the profile.
