iContact™ is a device fitted into the automatic operator providing instant alerts of safety issues by transmitting data via GPRS. It works in conjunction with electro-mechanical door and window operating equipment to transmit two way remote communication and telemetry. This enables the service network to provide an immediate response should any operational issues occur. Developed in response to customer demand, the system provides safety issue alerts ranging from critical sensors to safeguarding against accidents and allows preventative maintenance regimes to be established. It also prevents any possible product damage caused by failures that go unnoticed. Accurate information on the usage of a door operator can be obtained and used to improve building management. This in turn reduces the maintenance costs and environmental costs of an engineer’s site visits.
