The facility is located on the tenth storey of the hospital’s Renaissance Tower. It covers an area of 28,000 square feet and incorporates advanced technology. It consists of 35 private rooms which include 15 rooms dedicated for the neuro intensive care unit. All the rooms sport private bathrooms.
The project also involved creation of a therapy gym, electronic charting, a family waiting room with a computer, along with installation of a portable CT scanner. All the rooms have been fitted with a mechanical lift to facilitate transportation of patients. The nurses stations’ have been positioned to enable monitoring of the rooms from their stations.
The facility has also been equipped with an in-room camera and monitor to allow face-to-face interaction among doctors and patients from remote places. Further, plans are on to offer tablet computers for neuro ICU patients to allow better communication.
