The new facility will house the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. It spans over an area of 40,000 square feet. It consists of a demonstration classroom with a seat capacity of 95, as well as classrooms and conference areas. A career centre, student services centre, John Purdue Room fine-dining restaurant, Boiler Bistro quick-service restaurant, and Lavazza coffee bar are among the other features of the new hall.

In addition, the hall abides by various green principles which has helped it receive LEED Gold certification from the US Green Building Council.

The project has received funds of $5 million from The J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott Foundation.
