Rupert Bevan was inspired from high Art Deco style, while designing Soho House hotel’s bedrooms. Channelling the influence of Bauhaus design luminaries, the vast 7ft wide Shell Bed in ebonised mahogany features an exaggerated cockleshell headboard which forms the centrepiece of the room. It is framed by an appealing pair of bedside tables, based on original 30’s pieces reinterpreted by Rupert Bevan and given a 1920’s patinated finish.

An ornate Jacques Adnet-inspired cabinet with antique mirror glass doors completes the feel of pure Hollywood glamour.

The Shell Bed in ebonised mahogany is priced from £7,000 ($11,073), and the Bauhaus bedside table in patinated mahogany is priced from £1,700 ($2,689). The retail price of five-door cabinet in patinated mahogany inlaid with brass strips, antique mirror glass inserts, is £8,000 (12,655).
