The refurbishment project covered 8,000 square feet of open plan office space with 13 meeting rooms and one board room. It included the placing of acoustic bats above the ceilings, the installation of 100mm depth partitioning in the directors’ rooms, meeting rooms and board room and 75mm depth in other areas.
The lighting in the office space was repositioned to complement alterations made to the individual offices and open plan area. A full-height, removable, folding partition supplied by Saracen was also installed.
Saracen regards the project as one of its most sustainable projects of 2012 as it involved reusing the original oak doors and frames, the matching of existing ceiling tiles and carpet tiles and reusing existing heating and cooling systems. All materials employed complement the new layout.
Work on the fit-out began at the beginning of August 2012 and was completed by the end of September 2012.
