The Light features 350,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space, 420-space car park, 20 retail units, 12 restaurant/bar units, a 13 screen multiplex cinema, a 26,000sq ft health & fitness club and the 147-room Radisson SAS Hotel.
Joinery firms Abrahams and Carlisle of Bradford and Taylor of Harrogate fitted the doors and door sets in the Radisson SAS Hotel’s reception and public areas and The Light’s management suite respectively. The main contractor was Bovis Lend Lease.
Housed in a Grade ll listed building, which was meticulously restored in 2002, the award-winning 147-room Radisson SAS Hotel is one of the finest hotels in Leeds. Built in the former headquarters of the Leeds Permanent Building Society, the building’s architecture reflects an Art Deco style with a modern twist. The hotel’s reception and public areas feature a range of fire doors and high quality veneered doors including in-laid veneers with contrasting veneer and veneer string.
