The lounge spreads over 204 square meters and is planned by Hong Kong designer Kinney Chan. The design includes the use of a ‘green terrace’ as its centerpiece, with earth-tone colors and ‘greenery’ in the lights.
The air filtration at the airport lounge is provided by the eco-friendly Oxyvital system, which is an air purification system designed to clean air at a molecular level. The lounge also serves Japanese meals that are cooked-to-order.
Plaza Premium Lounge Management is the operator of the Green Market lounge. The company at present operates the world’s largest pay-to-enter lounge and spa at Hong Kong International Airport.
Singapore Changi was voted as the world’s best airport in a recent Skytrax survey. The airport, along with this eco friendly lounge, is also implementing other-eco friendly measures across its facility as part of its Changi Goes Green program. The airport has also recently installed solar panels on the roof of the Budget Terminal.
