Work has started on the School’s new Novena Campus at Mandalay Road on a site, situated next to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. The site will comprise the headquarters of the School which will be accommodated in a restored 1920s facility formerly serving as a hostel for medical students. The headquarters will offer administrative and teaching facilities and is due to be completed by June 2013. The campus will also feature the Clinical Sciences Building which is scheduled for completion by 2015.
NTU’s Yunnan Garden Campus site will feature the Experimental Medicine Building of the School. It will be positioned within NTU’s biomedical-engineering cluster and is expected to be ready by 2015.
Different buildings of the school will together sport seminar rooms, learning studios, as well as clinical skills training facilities. Labs donning a unique design, and other teaching and recreational facilities will be among the various other features of the new property. The buildings will feature multidisciplinary and interactive spaces and facilities to foster collaboration among staff, faculty and students.
