The 16 acre St. Andrews shopping complex will get new retail shops as part of its renovation. The L-shaped complex with 18 shops will get Harris Teeter, based at Matthews, North Carolina, as the major anchor tenant when it opens for business on June 10, 2009, says Matt Hockeborn, real estate leasing director for Kimco Realty Corp. based in New York, which owns the center.
They are expecting to complete all the external cosmetic renovation before the grand reopening, adds Hockeborn.
West Marine will occupy about 15,075 square feet on one side of the Harris Teeter store in the made-over-property along with a couple of other shops like Moe’s Southwest Grill (or it can replace Foster’s Grill) and pet store ‘Petco’.
The remaining vacant space for eight shops is believed to be filled in, once the supermarket opens.
