The Spiral Cellar enables storage of wine with a maximum capacity of 1,870 bottles. It is dug into the untapped soil beneath a house by making use of the natural features of the soil and an advanced ventilation system. The cellar can be fitted under current rooms or can be fitted as part of an extension. The new retractable door serves as a gateway to this cellar.
The design of the door is befitting for contemporary living spaces. It is made of strong glass and features a satin polished stainless steel finish. The door incorporates a motorised action which drops one of the panels and later swivels beneath the fixed panel. A switch positioned on the wall allows operation of the door. The retractable round glass door is available at £17,500 ($27,784.2) including VAT.
