Stantec will be responsible for space planning, design and select finishes and furniture, and will also work with AECOM Design to implement mechanical and electrical requirements in the building.

Epcor senior vice president Denise Carpenter said, “We have hired Stantec to provide a creative workspace to accommodate the work styles and preferences of our diverse workforce. The tower will be an environmentally-friendly workplace and the interior designs will focus on our staff’s health and well-being by incorporating elements like natural light into their workspaces.”

Leonard Castro, Stantec project executive added, “Stantec’s design will emphasize natural light throughout Epcor’s space in the new tower.”

The Epcor Tower will be Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certified. Construction of the 28-storey, 265,000 square feet tower is currently ongoing and is expected to reach ground level by April 2009.
