The redesign and remodel is led by Design Line Interiors. The 95-room Stratford Inn is being completely redesigned incorporating an ocean view terrace, 5,000 square feet, two-storey lobby, bistro, bar and restaurant, updated pool areas and upgrades and renovations to all of the hotel’s guest rooms and suites.
Hotel Indigo will feature a resort ambiance highlighted by vibrant colours and earthy, natural textures. The entire space will be resonant with several specific design characteristics unique to Del Mar such as murals and mosaic tiles honouring the history of the town and the track. The mosaic design on each step of the hotel bar includes a horse’s name.
Inspired by its coastal location, Hotel Indigo’s renovated guest rooms offer a tropical resort feel, with many rooms offering views of the blue Pacific Ocean. Suites offer private balconies, with every guest room featuring a refrigerator and a microwave.
A 3,000-square-foot spa and fitness center is already complete at the property. The boutique spa called Spa Namara is a full-service spa on site, offering a wide array of treatments. Each of the spa’s five treatment rooms includes a private relaxation garden.
Construction of the ocean view terrace and the restaurant/lounge is planned to start in September 2011 and be completed before the end of the year.
