Part of the project includes addition of a new artificial turf field for football and soccer, an all-weather track, public restrooms, a concession stand, weight room, boys’ and girls’ locker rooms, coaches’ offices, community room, storage, baseball and softball hitting room and a press box.
Officials have also stated the construction of a Streetsboro Hall of Fame and a veterans’ memorial. The project would also attempt on making the stadium incorporate green features, such as solar panels.
The project would be funded by public and private grants, and donations from local businesses and large corporations, advertising, and leasing options through banks.
The stadium’s construction is a slated to break ground by May 2011.
