The building, which consists of 108 modules, has been designed to improve the patient care quality. This will also reduce the possibility of infection. A total of 12 single rooms will combine with seven four-bed bays to make its wards. Each ward will have a nursing station.

This new modular wing will feature an Integrated Critical Care Unit (ICCU) and will also have three 40-bed wards.

A monster crane will install the modules. It is expected that the crane will install six to eight modules having a size of 18.5 meters by 3.9 meters per day, after which, the new curved roof will be installed.

The modules are constructed in a factory near Scunthorpe.
