Two concepts that are very dear to Swarovski – ‘Modern Lux’ and ‘Poetry of Precision’ – are incorporated in the new store design. The new boutique design also features a unique retail architecture created by renowned Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka. The theme of ‘Crystal Forest’ has been given life, highlighting endless possibilities of crystal and demonstrating Swarovski’s deep affinity with nature.
The exterior of the store highlights the theme, featuring numerous stainless steel prisms. Charming displays with vibrant touches of colors capture the interest of the passersby. Creative scenes studded with Swarovski jewels and decorative objects are showcased and a crystal column further enhances the aesthetic appeal of the space.
The interior of the store spanning 600 square feet also embraces the Crystal Forest theme. The walls are pattered with reflective white relief prisms of various lengths. A unique visual depth has been created through these faceted, multi-layered elements.
A crystalline feeling that is common to all the Swarovski boutiques is present in the new design as well. A poetic ambiance is created with signature elements such as an impressive crystal swan behind the cash desk and crystal strand panels at the entrance. The furniture at the shop sparkles with a unique designed lacquer. To complete the sparkling look, a modern art installation made of crystal hangs from the ceiling. Ambient lighting has been designed to create a soft atmosphere within the boutique.
Swarovski is the luxury brand name for the range of precision-cut lead crystal glass and related products produced by Swarovski AG of Wattens, Austria. The company plans to open two more stores of the new boutique design in 2010. Swarovski India operates 20 stores in cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai, Kochi and Hyderabad.
