Located on 25 acres west of the Scharbauer Sports Complex, the 340,000-square-foot Chevron Midland Campus will consist of two, four-storey buildings connected by a walkway, a fitness centre, a cafeteria, a training facility, mission critical components, and a central plant.
Apart from that the new facility will also feature a parking structure for over 700 vehicles. The building’s enclosure will be a unitised, high-performance curtainwall system.
The project is slated to achieve a LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Construction is expected to begin in mid-summer 2013, with completion anticipated in 2015. It is expected to entail an investment of $100m and is being managed out of Swinerton’s Austin office.
Supporting Chevron’s goal of providing a world-class facility for its West Texas Permian Basin operations, the new facility will be designed to attract talented new employees and support future growth in Midland.
