Renovations will include new carpet, wall coverings, window treatments, decorative art, and modern upholstered furniture, new in-room safes, refrigerators and counter-top cosmetic mirrors, energy-efficient, in-room air conditioning along with new Wi-Fi Internet infrastructure in all guest rooms and upgradations in the Presidential, Ravinia and North Shore Suites.
The guest corridor will undergo major renovation works including new carpeting, wall covering and furniture, and all-new furnishings in the Concierge Club Lounge which will feature a 55-inch flat panel television, hardwood entry floor, in addition to new kitchen and buffet areas with induction units and refrigeration.
Renewals also include installation of advanced technology in the hotel’s meeting and event areas to make it more user- friendly apart from installing a new Business Center provider, new work stations, printer, copier/scanner/fax combo and software to facilitate the guests.
The Northbrook Ballroom and foyer and the Greenery Rooftop Ballroom will be revamped through the use of new carpeting, wall coverings, lighting and furniture,new divider walls, new window treatments with ADA access for the rooftop venue. The guest level meeting rooms, board room and Glenview meeting room will be totally rejuvenated.
The second phase of the project will involve full refurbishment of the Winnetka Ballroom, the auditorium, all lower level meeting space in addition to the hotel lobby, reception area, lounge and restaurant.
The first two phases of the renovation process are due to begin by this year with the hotel to commence service by 2011-12 end.
