The facility, designed by Woods-Bagot, Johannesburg-based Northpoint Architects and interior designers Hirsch Bedner Associates, fuses the Mediterranean and Arabic style. All the 377 luxurious guest rooms and suites of the hotel comprise private terraces which provide glimpses of the Arabian Gulf. The hotel sports the Royal Suite covering two floors, 33 St. Regis branded villas, and 259 St. Regis branded residences. It also features The Collection retail and entertainment complex consisting of shops and restaurants.
The resort imbibes four meeting rooms, a business centre, and The Regal Ballroom slated to be the largest ballroom in Abu Dhabi. The ballroom encompassing 3000 square metres and can be used to serve large private or small intimate events. It features advanced lighting systems and sound equipment, and an outdoor terrace allowing views of the seaside. Other features of the ballroom include a dedicated bridal arrival space, along with a separate bridal salon with dressing and grooming areas.
The facility also houses the athletic club spanning 3,500 square metres. The club incorporates two tennis courts, two squash courts, as well as five pools including an indoor lap pool measuring 25 metres. It has also been fitted with latest equipment. Further, there is a club known as The Sandcastle Club for children aged between 1 to 12 years. The children’s club, featuring an outdoor pool, facilitates both indoor and outdoor activities with access to the resort beach.
The resort incorporates the first 3500 square metre Iridium Spa sporting 12 treatment rooms. The spa also features three individually designed spa suites named Moroccan, Thai and Contemporary. All the suites possess private terraces and pools.
The hotel offers seven food and beverage outlets fitted with indoor and alfresco dining facilities. The décor of the outlets don a marine theme while offering Arabian Gulf views. It includes the 55 & 5th The Grill restaurant, The Manhattan Lounge, The Drawing Room lobby lounge, Southeast Asia-inspired Sontaya with floating glass-walled pavilions, Olea, Turquoiz beach restaurant and terrace, and Sucré.
